The NBA announced its All-Rookie teams, featuring notable players across both teams. On the first team, Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher and Grizzlies teammates Jaylen Wells and Zach Edey join Spurs Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle. Wizards center Alex Sarr also made the first team.
The second team includes Heat center Kel’el Ware, Bulls forward Matas Buzelis, Pelicans center Yves Missi, Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan, and Wizards guard Bub Carrington.
Castle, with averages of 14.7 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game, was a unanimous first-team selection after winning Rookie of the Year with 92 out of 100 first-place votes. Risacher, selected first overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, earned 99 out of 100 first-team votes, averaging 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
Wells, the 39th selection in the draft, is the only second-round pick to make either team. He started 74 games for the Grizzlies, averaging 10.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, earning the third-most first-place votes with 96.
Edey, who averaged 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, joins Wells on the first team. Sarr, averaging 13 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game, and Carrington, with averages of 9.8 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game, also earned All-Rookie honors.
