Houston guard Milos Uzan has reportedly decided to withdraw from the NBA Draft to return to school for his senior season. This decision comes as a surprise, as Uzan was projected to be selected early in the second round, with potential to go near the end of the first round. This isn’t the first time Uzan has withdrawn from the draft; he previously did so after his sophomore year at Oklahoma, transferring to Houston afterward.
Uzan experienced a breakout season with the Cougars, averaging 11.4 points and 4.3 assists. Houston finished the season with a 35-5 record and ranked No. 2 overall. During the NCAA Tournament, Uzan contributed to the Cougars’ run to the championship game, where they narrowly lost to Florida.
The reason for Uzan’s withdrawal isn’t specified, but it could be due to hopes of a higher draft grade or a desire to win a championship with Houston. His return is expected to keep the Cougars highly ranked for the 2025-26 season, forming a strong trio with Emanuel Sharp and Joseph Tugler. Uzan’s performance in his senior season could further enhance his NBA prospects.
